Shogi and chess games no longer stall on a pending confirmation such as promotion
While a confirmation such as promotion is pending, tapping the board cancels the wait and returns to normal play. On screens where the confirmation window is not visible, the wait is skipped so you can keep playing. This applies to the shogi and chess games, including Chu Shogi, Dai Shogi, Shogi and Chess.
Results in 7 games now say why the game ended and how places are decided
In Hold’em, Blackjack, Concentration, Old Maid, Pig’s Tail, Rummy and Bingo, a line or two under the result heading says why the game ended and what decides the places (for example, most pairs, fewest cards, or the order of Bingo).
Fixed Hold’em places, and clearer results in Mancala, Picture Shiritori, Sugoroku and Drawing Quiz
Hold’em: fixed players who ran out of chips sharing the same place. Whoever ran out earlier finishes lower; players who ran out in the same hand are ranked by the chips they had at the start of that hand (equal chips share the place).
Mancala (basic): the result now says right under the heading who emptied their side first (the winner is whoever empties their side first, not whoever has more in the store).
Picture Shiritori: the result says whether every drawing connected, or how many links did not.
Sugoroku: if you lose, the result shows how many squares you were from the goal.
Drawing Quiz: “All drawings” shows who guessed each round correctly. On short screens the drawings are folded so every player’s place fits.
Hasami Shogi: explains when pieces are captured, shows how many and where, keeps a capture history, and says the game ends at 5 or more.
Mancala: shows when the win is decided, and the last 12 moves can be reviewed from the menu.
Draw Poker: the previous hand's result stays until you tap (next hand when everyone taps or after 10 seconds), and you can review each hand's gains and recent actions.
Clearer destinations and records in Bagh-Chal, and input in Master Number
Bagh-Chal: fixed an old destination staying selected after an invalid tap. Confirmations and records use rows and columns, and moves in this game can be reviewed from the menu.
Master Number: explains that you enter the known digit too, labels the input and lets you tap a digit to edit it. Unsent input is kept after a timeout, and unavailable keys show a reason.
Choose your card in Speed, and a clearer note on kokose shogi
Speed: once your face-down pile is gone, you now tap the face-up card to put down when you both press Ready (it used to be the leftmost card automatically). If the other player beats you to a pile, the card comes back with “They got there first”.
Kokose shogi: the rules and FAQ now say it is not the variant where every turn is three moves.
Fixed High-Low skipping the last CPU's final turn, plus clearer Bingo
High-Low could skip the last CPU's final turn and end while it still showed one turn left. That's fixed, and the game now shows a score history and the end reason, with time to read CPU actions.
Bingo shows whether numbers are marked automatically or by you, and explains why play continues after someone's bingo. Drawing Telephone's topic buttons are now easier to tap.
Clearer Minesweeper, Eshiritori and Drawing Telephone
Minesweeper explains the board-moving buttons with a first-time hint, what Mines left counts, and when chording opens the cells around a number.
Eshiritori guides the title step, warns at 10 seconds left and when time runs out, and shows the accuracy as a count out of the drawings. Drawing Telephone lets you step back from the final summary to revisit your booklet.
Clearer Blackjack, Bunmyaku and Sugoroku, and finished games now appear in your records
All games: a game's record is saved as soon as it ends and appears right away in All history, with dates in your language's format.
Blackjack only changes your balance after the dealer's cards are all revealed. Results stay until you press Next round (moving on when everyone has, or after 10 seconds), with insurance explained and the CPU's draws and totals shown.
Bunmyaku shows running totals and past votes. Sugoroku shows the CPU's rolls and destinations on up to two lines, and replay explanations are no longer cut off.
Clearer Mahjong, Concentration and Oicho-Kabu; fixes to Eshiritori long vowels, Werewolf voting and Sudoku
Mahjong warns at 5 seconds left, shows the honba/riichi-stick arithmetic in the hand list and keeps Next visible on long results. Concentration shows pairs left and captured cards, with a corrected match message. Oicho-Kabu keeps each result until you press Next (moving on when everyone has, or after 10 seconds) and shows dealer turns, why the dealer continues and who paid what.
Eshiritori continues words ending in ー from the character before it (タクシー → し), with a setting to use the vowel instead. Werewolf shows the host how many have voted and confirms before closing with votes missing, and keeps morning and vote results reviewable. Sudoku explains why a conflicting digit stays and shows when the opponent finished and how long until close.
Sugoroku CPUs pause to let you see the result, plus clearer Yacht, Doubt and Shishio Shogi
In the sugoroku games (Buppo, Sugoroku, Orai, Edo Meisho, Leifeng, Katchu and Ban Sugoroku), the CPU now waits until the dice and piece stop, then about 1.5 seconds plus time to read any message, before rolling (about 2.5 to 4 seconds after the previous move, or 4.5 to 7 seconds with a square effect).
Yacht always shows your rerolls left. Doubt gives you 10 seconds to call the previous player, shows the declared and actual cards side by side, and keeps a history of calls and the end reason. Shishio Shogi guides the lion's second step, lets you reselect, and explains moves you can't make.
Koi-Koi explains bright-card yaku conditions (including the rain card) on the spot, keeps each month's score breakdown, matches the turn indicator to when you can act, and says why a month ended on the last card.
Hold'em keeps each hand's result until you press Next hand (moving on as soon as everyone has, or after 10 seconds), and shows kicker comparisons, the recent betting and how the Pot raise is calculated.
Hare and Hounds says what is blocking a hound you can't move, and the end reason now says the hare has no point to move to.
Clearer Daifugo, Shogi, Old Maid, Chess and Bozu Mekuri, plus Mahjong effects
Daifugo shows each player's running total, a history of every round and move, and why a hand emptied on an illegal finish, and explains exceptions to the suit lock.
Shogi: with a piece selected, tapping an opponent's piece now captures it instead of opening its info. Captures are announced, the last move is shown in detail, and you can open the previous game's record. A tap right as the result opens no longer starts the next game.
Old Maid places a drawn card at the right end so cards never hide each other. Chess marks en passant and the captured pawn, and shows X on the king's blocked squares at checkmate. Bozu Mekuri always shows everyone's count and disqualifications, with a card history in the menu.
Mahjong adds non-blocking feedback for draws, discards, tenpai, riichi, ura-dora, wins and point changes (bigger for bigger hands, subdued for the player who dealt in).
Clearer Reversi, Gomoku and Chinchiro, plus fixes to table totals and ties
The result screen's tally now says At this table, which is what it actually counts. When players tie for first, only they get a draw; everyone else gets their place and a loss (all games).
Reversi keeps the last stone placed and how many flipped for both players. Gomoku's result names the winner, the direction and the count, and View the board keeps the winning five highlighted.
Chinchiro's hand result shows who paid whom, the multiplier and the dealer's net, and stays until you press Next (moving on as soon as everyone has, or after 10 seconds). You can also reopen the previous result.
End-of-game reasons now say what happened (27 games)
Under the result heading, the result screen now says who did what to end the game, such as a player connecting four or a player's points dropping to zero (27 games including Chinchiro, Oicho-Kabu, Gomoku, Connect Four, Domino and Hyakunin Isshu).
Mahjong: 5+20 second clock by default, and totals with the same members
The default time limit is now the common 5+20 seconds (you can still pick None and others in the table settings).
The session table adds a With the same members section showing total pt, average place and first places across every game this group has played together. The shared image shows how many games in a row instead of the table name.
Clearer Fu-warau Shogi, Minesweeper, Sugoroku and Domino
Fu-warau Shogi: the board always shows captured pawns (you 2/5, opponent 4/5), and the result now says, for example, that your opponent captured 5 pawns in total.
Minesweeper race: Mines left now also subtracts mines you have opened.
Sugoroku: you now also follow the instruction on the square an instruction sends you to (up to 5 in a row; a setting limits it to one).
Domino: shows that you can keep drawing until you can play and that the turn passes after you play, and the result keeps the point breakdown when someone goes out. Games without a CPU no longer offer the CPU's move as a feedback reason.
Mahjong: choose starting points, uma and chips, plus an option to show all hands to spectators
In the table settings you can pick the starting points (20,000–40,000), uma (none, 5-10, 5-15, 10-20, 10-30, 20-30) and chips (one each for ippatsu, ura-dora and red fives, five for a yakuman; 1, 2 or 5 pt per chip). Defaults are unchanged.
Turn on Hands shown to spectators and only spectators see every hand and its waits. Players’ screens are unchanged, and the table always shows a notice that spectators can see all hands.
Easier recovery after a dropped connection, plus a hand history and session table for Mahjong
The connection banner now has a Reconnect button and says when you are back. During a game, a half-dead connection is detected within about 20 seconds and reconnected automatically (all games).
Mahjong: under ⚙ you can choose whether No calls and Auto discard reset each hand or stay on. From the ⋮ menu you can open a list of previous hands and a session table of the games played at this table (place, score, placement points, total), and save or share the table as an image.
Mahjong now has an optional time limit (paused while you are disconnected)
In the table settings, pick None, 5+20, 10+30 or 20+60 seconds (base + bank; the bank carries over through the game). On timeout you discard your drawn tile, or pass on a call or ron.
The clock stops while you are disconnected, and taps in the 0.3 seconds right after a timeout are ignored so you don't discard by accident.
Mahjong gains in-game assists: auto win, no calls, auto discard and more
Toggles under your hand: Auto win, No calls and Auto discard (the last two reset each hand). After riichi, your drawn tile is discarded automatically unless you can win or declare a closed kan.
While tenpai, your waits and how many of each remain are always shown, with a Furiten tag when it applies. Selecting a discard that keeps you tenpai shows its waits too.
Tsumogiri discards are slightly dimmed, dora in your hand get a mark, tapping the center box shows point differences, hand results show ura-dora, tenpai hands are revealed at an exhaustive draw, the yaku list is in the menu, and final results include placement points.
Harder Two-Corner Mahjong and Minesweeper, and separate choices for puzzle difficulty and CPU strength
Two-Corner Mahjong now starts at Normal and Minesweeper at Intermediate (16×16, 40 mines). Two-Corner Mahjong also gains a 120-tile Expert level.
In Practice with the CPU on each game page, you now pick the puzzle difficulty and the CPU strength separately. CPU strength is now called Weaker / Stronger.
Minesweeper races now show everyone's progress as bars
Instead of only your % and the leader's %, the top three (and your own place) are shown with icon, name, a progress bar and %. Finishers get ✓ and their time; players who hit a mine get ✕ Out.
Other players' boards stay hidden, since they would reveal where the mines are.
Spider Solitaire is now public, and races against the CPU end when the humans finish
Spider Solitaire (one or two suits) is now open to everyone.
In Two-Corner Mahjong, Mahjong Solitaire, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire and Sudoku, a race against the CPU now ends as soon as every human player has finished, without waiting for the CPU. CPUs still solving are ranked by progress.
In the puzzle races, you can now see the shape of other players' boards
In Two-Corner Mahjong, Mahjong Solitaire, Solitaire and Sudoku, each ranking box shows a small view of that player's board (which tiles or cards remain, which cells are filled).
Tap a box to see that player's board larger.
Everyone is solving the same puzzle, so tile faces, card values and numbers are hidden; only the shape is shown.
In Minesweeper races, stepping on a mine shows "Mine! Rest for 5 seconds" on that square and a countdown. The tutorial now explains that the round goes on after a 5-second rest.
In Reversi, tapping the board on the other player's turn shows an X and "It's the other player's turn".
In Concentration, tapping while unmatched cards are being shown says the cards are being turned back.
Sudoku races now close 60 seconds after the winner
At tables of two or more, a countdown appears under the standings once first place finishes, and the round closes after 60 seconds (or none, 30 or 120). Unfinished players are ranked by progress at that moment.
Placing a number now clears that number from notes in the same row, column and box. One [Undo] brings both back (this can be turned off).
After tapping "Confusing" or "Something broke", a comment box now appears right away.
You can pick more than one tag. "Something broke" now takes tags and a comment in place too.
Fixed bugs in Picture Shiritori, Relay Novel and Reversi
Picture Shiritori: a blank drawing could be sent while the previous drawing was open. The drawing now closes with a tap anywhere, and closes itself with 10 seconds left.
Relay Novel: a second submission could replace your text. A repeated submission is now ignored, and a different one is refused.
Reversi: the lead-change effect appeared again and again from the opening. It now appears only near the end (8 or fewer empty squares).
