Rule highlights
Setup
- Two to six players. The deck holds four colours (blue, red, yellow, green) with 1–9, draw two, draw three, reverse and skip — two of each — plus four colour-change cards: 108 in all.
- Shuffle and deal seven cards to each player. The rest becomes the draw pile.
- Turn over the top number card onto the table. Play starts from there.
How to play
- On your turn, play one card of the same colour or the same number as the card on top.
- Cards of the same number may be played together, as many as you hold. The last one you lay down goes on top.
- A colour-change card can be played at any time; whoever plays it names the next colour.
- Draw two and draw three make the next player take that many and lose their turn — unless they play the same card, which adds to the pile and passes it on.
- Reverse turns the direction of play around (an even number of them played together cancels out).
- Skip misses out the next player. With two players it brings the turn straight back to you.
- If you cannot or do not want to play, draw one card and pass the turn.
- Go over fifteen cards in hand and you are out with too many.
- When the draw pile runs out, the cards already played — all but the top group — are shuffled back into it.
Winning
- Down to one card, call "Page One!". If somebody calls you out first, you draw five.
- The order in which players empty their hands sets the places: first, second and so on.
- A player out with too many cards takes the lowest place still open at that moment.
- When only one player is left, they take the next place and the game ends.

FAQ
How many players?
Two to six. Four is the easiest number to play with.
How long does a game take?
About ten minutes.
Can I practise alone?
Yes. Press Play vs CPU to play against three computer players.
Can the others see my hand?
No. Everyone else only sees how many cards you hold; the cards themselves are only ever sent to your own screen, and nobody is sent the draw pile.
Who goes first?
The player at the top of the seat list.
How is this different from classic Crazy Eights?
This is Page One, a Japanese house variant of Crazy Eights. The core is the same — match the colour or the number, or play a wild — but the deck adds full runs of draw-two, draw-three, reverse and skip cards (not just eights and twos), and you call “Page One!” on your last card. You can turn the call off, or change the deck size and hand limit, in the party settings.
Can I play at school or work (unblocked)?
Yes. Crazy Eights runs entirely in your browser, with nothing to download or install, so it works on most school and work networks that block app stores or game downloads. If your network blocks the whole site, ask an administrator to allow boardgamejoin.com.
Is there a 2 player mode?
Yes — Crazy Eights works with 2 players, and up to 6 once more people join.
Can I play against the computer?
Yes. Press “Play vs CPU” on the Crazy Eights page to start right away against a computer opponent — no waiting for other players.
Can I play on a phone?
Yes. No app is needed — just open it in a browser. You can join the same party as people on a PC or tablet.
Can two people play?
Yes. This game supports 2 or more players.
