Cursed in Werewolf: Abilities and How to Win
The Cursed starts on the Villagers' side. If pranked by the werewolves, the Cursed does not go home and joins the pack from the next night (knowing the werewolves and known by them, and read as a werewolf). The Cursed is told privately in the morning. Nothing changes if the Knight protected them.
