What survives a full Party

Past five players, one person thinking hard becomes everyone else's waiting. Games where the right card is usually obvious keep the lap short, which is exactly what Sevens and Crazy Eights are. Neither of them stalls at six, and neither needs anybody to explain the turn.

President seats up to 12 and ranks every player, so the result is different for everyone in the Party rather than being a single winner and a row of losers. That churn is what keeps a large group talking between hands.

Seats and turn order

Seats follow the order people sat down, and the seat that is to act is lit up for everyone. In a big group it is easy to miss your turn, so the screen is what tells you it has come round, rather than someone having to say so.

Starting with five and picking up a sixth later is fine. Leave the empty chair as a CPU, begin, and the last arrival takes the seat from the next round. It works in reverse too: when somebody has to go, their seat keeps being played rather than leaving a hole in the Party, and the rest of you finish the round you are in.

How to choose

If you want something quick, start with a shorter game.
For a slower, face-to-face game, try one of the board games.
For a game you have not played before, try the CPU once before inviting a friend. It goes faster that way.
Even in the same room, everyone should use their own device.

Can two people play on the same device?

The game assumes one device per person. Even in the same room, each person should enter the code on their own device to join the same party.

Can I play with someone far away?

Yes. Send an invite link, and the other person can join just by opening it in a browser.

Is it free to play?

Every game on this shelf is free — for the person who creates the party and for everyone who joins.
