Every set and the pair contains a terminal or an honour — 2 han closed, 1 when open.

How it is formed
- Each of the four sets and the pair must contain a terminal or an honour.
- Runs can therefore only be 1-2-3 or 7-8-9.
- With no honours at all it becomes junchan, which is worth more.
