How to solve
- Play the moves for Black (bottom) on the board. Your opponent replies automatically.
- Tap a piece, then the square to move it to. Pieces in hand are on the stand.
- You can try again as many times as you like. Show answer plays the solution (that day then does not count toward your streak).
Difficulty by day
The difficulty depends on the day of the week. The date changes at midnight Japan time.

Where the puzzles come from
We make the puzzles ourselves and use a solver (a program that searches for the answer) to check that each has exactly one solution. When we include a classic problem, we take the position from an original book whose copyright has expired and check it again with the same solver.
