How to solve

1. Play the moves for Black on the board. Your opponent replies automatically.
2. Tap the point where you want to place a stone.
3. You can try again as many times as you like. Show answer plays the solution (that day then does not count toward your streak).

The difficulty depends on the day of the week. The date changes at midnight Japan time.

Past puzzles

Where the puzzles come from

We make the puzzles ourselves and use a solver (a program that searches for the answer) to check that each has exactly one solution. When we include a classic problem, we take the position from an original book whose copyright has expired and check it again with the same solver.
